Default S2000 sat for 3 years? Anything to look for?

I'm picking up a 2003 s2000 that has been sitting for 3 years due to a lengthy probate process. The owner bought it with 83k in 2009, drove it 120 miles and then passed away. He never even registered it. The owner's son said that he started it and let it run for 20 minutes every two weeks. I don't know that I believe that. Anyway, is there anything I should look out for specifically? Obviously, I'll check the oil and the tires may need to be replaced but I'm wondering if there is anything else I need to look at before I ring it out a bit on the 130 mile drive home.

Thoughts?

Check for holes in the top, Rats nests in the intake, and oil / coolant leaks.

Take it easy and assume the tires are trash because they've sat for so long.

If it were me,I'd have it trucked home on a flatbed and do a good inspection before I drive it.

I'd change all the tires and EVERY fluid before making it my DD.

Make it safe first, then do a bumper-to-bumper clean up.

I started the car today to see if I can get to Autozone for code read and the CEL started flashing and car was hesitating. Before it just stayed on and now its flashing so I turned off the car. I ordered the code reader as CMK recommended, its coming tomorrow so maybe I will have an update.

From what I read, it seems to be a definite misfire. I will post the codes when I figure out how to read them tomorrow.

Starting the car for a few minutes, once every few weeks probably does more harm than good.
