Not true. The internal ratio is different from model year group to model year group. (IIRC they group like this 00-03 and CR,04-09 non-CR)

I know that if you use a rack and EPS from the same model year they will work. I don't know if you mix the EPS and rack from different years if they will work or not. That I never tried. Once installed you will need to reset the torque sensor neutral position

Ap1s all have the same ratio; ap2 ratios are all the same except 04/05 is compatible with ap1 with no vsa; cr has the similar ratio to ap1 but is not compatible with non dbw

VSA and the steering was not directly connected. The parts are interchangeable. Based on the part numbers, the EPS controller are interchangeable as well.

2000-2002 Steering ratio 13.8:1 lock-to-lock 2.4 wheel turns (Referance http://www.hondanews.com/channels/ho...ns?query=s2000)
2004-2009 Steering ratio 14.9:1 lock-to-lock 2.6 wheel turns, The EPS (Electrical Power Steering) system features an optimized steer response gain, while the software was updated to improve steering linearity and agility) http://www.hondanews.com/channels/ho...ns?query=s2000
2008-2009 CR Steering ratio 13.8:1 lock-to-lock 2.4 wheel turns http://www.hondanews.com/channels/ho...es?query=s2000

Thanks for correcting me Stratocaster!

No problem to swap 00 to 05 rack, no need to relearn procedure if they have been installed before, eps module 00 to 05 was compatible, i have an 01 rack on my 05 and direct fit, never have to made a relearn!
