s2000 transimission problem
hi everybody well when i shift from 2 to 3 sometimes is hard , if this a problem or not , because i haved an acura integra 1 year ago and have the same problem ... thanks
Could you be more specific? Is it hard to shift when its cold, warm, both? What do you mean by hard to go from 2-3, does it grind or does it have a lot of initial resistance and then goes in without grinding? Have yuo ever changed the MTF in the gearbox before?
If it does it when it's cold - it's somewhat normal.
Suggestions: change your trans fluid (OEM Honda MTF or Amsoil MTF is what I recommend), bleed your clutch system, and then practice double-clutching when it's cold (about 3-5 minutes, or a little after your engine reaches normal temp).
My car is sometimes notchy going into 2nd and 3rd when it's cold - I automatically double-clutch the first several shifts when I first drive my car. I don't even think about it any longer.
You may have something else going on if it's hard to shift when it's warmed up. Definitely check your fluid level and consider changing the fluid.
