s2k hard top weight

Default s2k hard top weight

hey guys, just got an 06 s2k and i wanna get a hard top. does anyone kno the weight of the oem hard top including all the hardware and rubber mouldings. tnx

i have an '03, and the top itself weighs 44 lbs, the hardware maybe 10 lbs (that's a stretch)...the add weight sucks, be it keeps your seats safe!!!

The total weight is less than 48 lbs with everything. You really won't notice the weight increase much. The top is great.
However, if your worried about the weight increase, you can counter it by:
buying an aftermarket exhaust (comptech saves almost 20lbs "ding")
buying an aftermarket header - like Ricks (saves about 10lbs "ding")
replace the stock battery with a dry cell (saves about 9lbs "ding")
go on a diet (loose 10lbs and live 20 more years "ding, ding, ding")

Problem solved.

The OEM HT with all the hardware weights about 32 kgs. I confirme that before sell it to get the Mugen Carbon one.

I don't think so.

I believe they weigh in at around 32lbs IIRC...
