S2k redline blinking

Default S2k redline blinking

the s2000 bredline blinks 2 times before the 3rd one which is the redline cutoff right?

You're there long enough to count the blinks? Shift already.

The tach starts blinking at a certain RPM. The rev limiter cuts in at another RPM. The two are not connected.

I would think it would depend on what gear you were in. You accelerate quicker in the lower gears so there's less time spent between when the red lights start blinking and fuel cutoff.

I topped out 5th yesterday, and I think it was blinking for a while.

I'm pretty sure it blinks once at 9100 and a second time at 9200, then the fuel is cutoff. A perfect shift is performed immediately after the second blink.

It didn't work for me. I just performed a shift from 3rd to 2nd at 70 MPH, and it still blinked red. Now I've got a funny knocking noise and a blinking engine light...
