Heey guys whats up... 2 days ago a friend of mine has a 2008 s2k and wants to turbo charge it and he doesnt want the 08 engine because of the drive by wire and other stuff... soo he said that he would pay for my engine to swap his engine into my 2003 into his 2008 and make his an 2008 with a 2003 engine and mine will be a 2008 engine on a ap1. his engine and 17k on it.. i just rebuilt my engine 3 or 4 months ago.. i asked the company they said if someone knows how to do it then i wont be facing any trouble. ? soo what do you think ?

 

I think your buddy should turbo the 08 motor. Huge pain in the ass for little (likely negative) benefit. You would have to switch much more than just the motor.

 

we are going to do the full swap.. everything single thing

 

Just trade cars....

You will have to swap engines, harnesses, all the emissions hardware (there is a lot)
VSA /ABS modulators, gauges.

 

^may as well swap whole cars

 

i agree life would be easier if you swapped cars, never know what kind of troubles you can run into during a swap

 

Well the guy doesnt want to change cars.. he likes his car but he wants my engine .. soo tell me what i should do ..
