its ok to rebuild an ap1 and put an MY 2006+ engine inside. but, it would be a pain in the A$$ to just do a swap. there is already alot to do when you swap and ap1 engine into an ap2 and vice versa. but, this time there will be the dbw and vsa. there is a crap load that is involved in that!!

Of course if he was smart he'd just wait for Hondata to release the Kpro for the 08 which will be SOON. That will take care of any tuning for the turbo and allow him better tuning options than doing an AEM EMS on an non-dbw s2k. DBW is actually a great thing for the S2k, since it allows use of VSA. If he doesnt like VSA he can hit the off button. If his only reason for wanting to swap is because he doesnt like DBW he is an idiot. sorry.

NO i would not swap for his 08 engine. it will be Very expensive, and you'll probably end up getting the shaft.

If he wants the 9k redline of the f20c he should get kpro, and an AP1 shortblock and ap1 cams and tune it accordingly. So in theory you two could swap shortblocks and cams, but he'll have to keep his DBW.

Rub your eight ball and it should tell you. If everything is installed correctly then no but why do it? Yours was just rebuilt correct? Just answering your question with a question.
