Default SC More Midrange Boost

I know the subject has been talked about before about how to add more midrange punch to supercharger similar to that of a turbo without the problems associated with a turbo. The problem was when you increase the boost on the supercharger to get more in the midrange, 6-7psi at 4500rpm for example, you would end up with more boost at redline then the block would be able to handle. So the only way to do this is bleed off the excess boost that is created. People said that it could be done with a BOV but they don't work like that but a POV, Pop Off Valve or relief valve, works like that. I was on the RX7.COM web site and remembered seeing something like this and there it was and from the description on the site it might fit the bill. I don't know if my assumption is correct or not, but I thought I would throw it out there for discussion.

That might work. A popoff valve could be set up to release all but 8 psi say for example and the when you shifted the BOV could release the rest. With a dif pulley on the charger you could make max psi a lot sooner and then hold it until redline. Maybe????

You should run a wastegate since it needs to be adjustable. You could set up with a wastegate and a boost controller to dial in the boost you need. Wastegate are normally for Turbos but you need it's precision and control. Something you dont get with the BOV.

Or you can use nitrous assist to boost midrange....

Come on now! Waistegates don't and can't work on a supercharger setup. It only works on turbos.

Wastegates are only designed to work in the exhaust track.
