Default SC Pulleys for $85...

Just wanted to share some information I found.

Auto Specialties Performance makes upgrade pulleys for the NOVI 1000 (the SC that is in the Comptech kit). Cost is $85.00 with delivery time of time is 3-4 weeks. The sizes they offer are 4.375, 3.875, and 3.5. The stock size is 4.575. They can't guess the PSI for each pulley...so we won't really know until someone tries one.

Sounds like the 4.3" might be fun to try out for $85 bucks..

Might run into some issues with the stock ECU and no intercooling...but again, no one has done it yet; so who knows. For $85 you're right, (plus a belt) put it on, run to a dyno and see if the car stays rich. Could give it 15-30 RWHP.

APS is a good shop - local in Stafford. I've had other work done there on previous cars of mine. Knowledable and they will do custom pully work/t-body bores, etc.

I may need to buy the 4.375 pulley just to fix an issue that just came up.

I was actually searching threads to see if anybody else has had problems with with the belt hitting their sc pulley (doesn't the add-on pulley for the sc have the holes in it?). I need to talk to my mechanic, but unless the belt is loose (which it doesn't feel like), something has changed in the past few days.

In any event, I'm glad this thread popped up, 'cause I completely missed it the first time around.

I called them on Friday, out of curiosity to see if I could get a pulley as a rush order, but they physically need 3-4 weeks to make the pulley for the S2000. Some things I did learn, the S2000 pulley is different from other SC pulleys for the NOVI 1K, and the 3.5 pulley would be made of aluminum. I'll be placing an order soon.

Hey Wesmaster, what size are you planning to go with?

I'm thinking about ordering the 4.375 pulley, just to give it a try. Can anyone guesstimate how many pounds of boost it'll be with that size?

I'm going with the 3.5 which we're assuming is around 10 PSI. The 4.375 could be around 7.5 PSI, but no one knows. I think that you might run into some fuel issues if you upgrade the pulley, though - based on Randy's tests.

Randy wasn't running with a VAFC though so the tuners said that could make it possible to keep the stock ecu and injectors
