Blowing a motor has nothing to do with the method of forced induction.......

Superchargers are more mild and generally produce less pressure unless you do alot of modifications. Turbochargers are alot easier to inexperienced people to produce more boost.

The motor doesn't care where it gets it's air from, but if it gets too much, or it's not tuned for that amount of pressure then it's not going to last.

I'm pretty sure this has been mentioned before plenty of times. I think people just have it go out the eyes in the back of their heads

The only reason you may think a S/C is safer is because you can never get into boost until way later in the rpm range. Where as most turbo kits out will produce boost in daily driven situations. So there's less of a danger zone time period. Heck, the S/C kits out of the box run dangerously lean. Also, you dont hear too many turbo kits now-a-days giving people problems. Pretty much because a lot of things got sorted out. The original turbo kit companies didn't have the funding to do the R&D like comptech or vortech have. Now that things have been pretty well sorted, I feel pretty confident saying that buying a turbo kit and running low boost (7psi) with proper engine management and tunning will probably be safer on the motor than a S/C. Either case it's more fun

A FPR is probably the worst way to run a turbo'ed car especially with a motor so senstive to tune because of it's compression like the S2000's. So don't count the kits that use those

Bottom line: If your driving is unable to keep the car in the VTEC power band then a turbo is a good way to make up for it.
or if you wanna beat cars in 6th gear while cruising and gently pressing the gas ....that's the best laugh

I know this is a stupid story, but I gotta tell it.

One time I was racing a Cobra, when I had a built motor, and the my second turbo setup (turbo up front of motor) and I mis shifted from second to FIFTH gear, ground, then got it in and floored it and still beat him. heheheh

The S/C has so much more lag then a turbo ever will. They dont make any power till 6000rpms. Jason00s2000, I assume you have never been in a turboed s2k. I make 75 MORE RWHP then YOU @ 5500rpms, Now who has the lag little slow one

Spankee, They just dont understand?
They get a S/C and now there fast
The S2000 wouldn't be nearly as fun with a turbo, imo. I know that a turbo will have a better torque curve, but I'm running 350 rwhp and 11 psi. I think I have close to 280 rwhp at 6000 rpm.

Also, don't call me little slow one. I have a 686 rwhp Supra in my garage that can show you what's up.
