screw behind door handle

Default screw behind door handle

are their any tricks to removing and reinserting this screw, had alot of trouble getting 1 off, and when i put in the new speaker i couldn't get it back in all the way, its like solid and just won't turn, and I wasn't succesful in removing the screw for the driver's side door panel yet, i don't want to strip it.
any suggestions

It has to go in at exactly the correct angle to get a straight shot at the screw hole. If you are just a bit off, you are actually screwing it in BESIDE the hole.

The plastic handle trim can shift forward and backward a bit. Like xviper said, make sure the screw is lined up properly and it should screw in smoothly.

What you are trying to align with are the two yellow colored objects behind the plastic. Sometimes it helps to use something slender like a thin Phillips screwdriver (or a drift, if you have one) to align the holes on the handle with the holes on the yellow objects, before inserting the screws.

sorry, i probably was not clear enough, i was refering to the one screw behind the door lock area not the actual handle.
