Seating the Valve Cover Properly?
I have the cover setting in place all is good i am just wondering how exactly should the rubber seals that go around the coil pack tubes seat? They kind of "rolled" up along the tubes as i pushed the cover down... is this okay? or should i push the seals down so they are not rolled up?
Heres a picture......

Hard to tell from that picture, but when you first put on the cover they tent up and the cover is supported on the tubes, then you run your finger along the edges of the 4 tubes and coax the rubber gaskets over the edges of the metal tubes. Once they are over the tube edges the cover lowers down easily and they slide down.
It is hard to tell in your picture but I think the edges of the rubber seals should be further down the tube and not along the top edge, it looks like the seal is caught on the top of the metal tube, put your finger in each hole and make sure the seals got past the top edge of the metal tubes. The top edges of the metal tubes are very sharp and can cut the seals if not done properly.

It sounds like it's fine.
For people who don't know how it should look, before you reinstall the valve cover, you may be to fold the seal back up. The one on the left if correct. The one on the right is incorrect.

This is exactly what i was trying to explain lol, I left the seals like they are on the right and they automatically rolled up like the left picture... i think. Maybe ill take it off again push the seals up like shown and throw her back on... lol

If you try to put the VC on with the seals like the one on the right, you may have cut them. Very common. Take a good look and make sure you didnt cut them.
(or it will leak oil into the spark plug tube)

So you are saying nothing major just a bit of a oily mess? Maybe i will take the packs of after a drive to be sure...
I would double check it like mentioned above, the seals look to be too close to the top of the metal tubes, they should have slid down further than that once the valve cover was torqued down, that's what I was referring to in my previous reply.
