Are you sure they are suppose to be a waise down the tube? I set the gaskets just like the picture above (left side) this creates the gasket to rid quite a bit higer on the tube almost at the top.... and yes its seated all the way down and tightened... Maybe ill take another shot of it today and try to get a better quality angle.

maybe it was just the picture you posted, they don't ride too much below the rim of the tube but they do go over and down the tube a bit. In your picture it looked like the seal was barely over the top of the tube. When I put my cover on it tents up on the tubes and once I coax the seals over the tubes the valvecover drops a good bit, so I believe the seals shimmy down a bit.

Gotcha,

Well i pulled my packs quick and gently pushed the seals down a bit so they are like .50"-.75" down past the top of the tube.

Thanks for the advice everyone!

I want to powder coat my VC. Does any know how to remove the seals and how to put them back in. they looked to be attached to a metal collar that is somehow pushed in. Help! Do I have to go to a dealer for special tool xxxy-yzyzy-zxyz?

use a sharp punch and colapse them inwards from the side until they are shaped like pac-man. Then they will come right out.
