Default Shaeffer Gear Oil for differential?

my dad just put some of this in his car...anyone had any experience with it? Road Rage? I figure its something in between thickness wise with mobil1 and redline (thinner).....and the LE 607 (thicker).

thanks

Most Shaeffer products are very good, there are plenty of very good 80w90's out there, Shaeffer also makes a 90w, but it only pours down to about 8degF, where 607 goes to -11. Plus, 697 can sustain higher loads than any of the Shaeffers.

are the higher load number REALLY necessary for the S2000...its just that i heard the 607 is very difficult to GET INTO the diff because of its thickness
