Default Shaking at 80+mph

So ive had some shaking/vibration at higher speeds since ive owned my MY00 s2k, but after reading around some, i figured it was something to do with the axle nut TSB. After doing the TSB it seems i still have shaking/vibration, could it be worn hubs and bearings? Or something else? Anyone else have this?

Could be a lot of things. Do you have a strut bar? I did that on mine and it came down a little, after an alignment, new brakes, and other typical maintenance it seemed to have gone away.

if u felt it through ur steering wheel, then ur front wheels are out of balance. go get it rebalance.

It could be wheel balance as franky suggested. You can get this if you lost some wheel weights. If your alignment is bad, that could cause this as well. Hitting a pothole hard could cause this. You'd probably see some funky wear on your front tires. Maybe cupping.

I got vibration/shaking that starts from 70mph+. Could it be the CV buckets??

I dont feel it through the steering, I feel it through the seats and from the rear of the car.

my MY04 did the same thing. i felt the vibration at low speeds but on acceleration it would vibrate increasingly harsher. you more than likely need an axle bucket swap. Billman test drove mine and verified the problem. actually he guessed it when I described it to him in a pm. when he took out the axle bucket on my left side he showed me how pitted it was. after he verified they weren't previously swapped he switched them and it now runs as smooth as glass.

Is there a DIY on here on how to swap the CV buckets?
