Hey, I live in Philadelphia and i was wondering if anyone can recommend some good import shops for me (preferably honda specialists) because I'm getting sick of the shop i use and i can't do all the work on my car myself because i just don't have enough time or tools. So any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

i know of a few that are ok or worse. I do not know of any really god shops that deal with S2000's. There are a few really good porsche/bmw places that specialize in race prep ect.

Do not go to IMPO performance which is sorta near philly as my friend's car, and my company's project car was never completed, and they scratched up his front end and fenders from the turbo install bc they did not cover the car. The cart never ran well and never boosted properly, and 2 weeks after they "installed" everything, the piping on the intercooler came off because they didnt use good enough brackets.

Do not go to Modified Motorsports in Harrisburg either as the awesome guy who used to run it, Tony, has quit and the only people who work there are assholes and they lie to you. This same car was never completed there as well and they tried to stiff my friend with a $1500 bill after they agreed it wasn't that much and the car didn't even run.

I work with the guys at Auto Addictions in Allentown from a retailers/wholesaler basis and i have heard good things. the owner doug is nice. I do believe they are expensive.

Post in DelVal, ask where RyanITV gets all his work done. I am having my Vortech Supercharger installed at Evolution Autosports in VA or up at RPMracing in NY (LI).

i was speaking in terms of places to have work done. As far as places to buy stuff i have no idea. I'm sure they are some small places here and there but nothing that is too well known.

 

Tim a tech from Scott Honda ,west checster PA is available for hire on the side..... I am having him uninstalll my head and reinstall my head + alaniz magic this month. HE come highly recommended by the people in Del VAl.. I will evaluate and give feedback...

I can second the motion for the guys at Auto Addictions in Allentown. I know some of those guys personally (used to work with one), and they are used to working on much more expensive/complicated cars than the S2000. What's more, they have great access to a ton of sweet parts. Their installation services are fantastic!

 

If your looking for parts and you dont feel like ordering them off the internet, check out Carations in Chinatown. They carry a lot of the hard to get stuff in stock. Also carry parts straight from Japan.

Oh yea the owner has a sweet red NSX.
