Should vehicle id show with scan tool
On my 2000 S2000 using a Craftsman code reader / scan tool, when I select "vehicle info" the vehicle identification number field is blank. On my Ford F150 the tool shows the correct vehicle id number.
Should the vehicle id display?
The ECM was replaced under warranty many years ago. If ECM replacement is the reason, should the dealer have programmed in the vehicle ID?
