Shutter when starting car
I have a 2005 S2000, and I have noticed recently that when it rains or is humid outside that the car will have a a little bit of a hard time starting. It will shudder pretty bad until i give it a little blip on the gas. It will be just fine after that. I had someone here tell me that the battery might be going bad, but I was wondering if this is most likely the case or if there is other things i can check on first before I go and replace the battery. Thanks in advance for any and all input.

1) Let it shudder next time until it realizes something is wrong and fixes it on its own... IF IT CAN.
2) If #1 doesn't work reset your ECU and try again.
From that point on start looking in to other things. I always needed to help the car during cold cold starts, but it actually learns on its own I think once you let it figure stuff out instead of dumping bunch of fuel down its throat as soon as it struggles.

I'm no expert, but it sounds like your idle air control valve is sticking closed.
Does this happen after a warm re-start?
Do you store the car for the winter? If so, they did start driving it recently and that's when you noticed it?

It is only on the first startup of the day. It was stored for about 2.5 years while I was away, and now it is being daily driven. Do you know of any way I can check the idle control valve? Thanks for the input.
