Default Smoking Exhaust while in traffic

Well I posted this before. I have only seen my car do this twice now, both in heavy bumper to bumper traffic.

Mods:
T1R testpipe
Spugen Single

Only when in heavy traffic, while im putting round in first does this happen...

I come to a complete stop and when i go to accelerate puff of white/grey smoke comes out my exhaust. If Im driving around town it does not happen at street lights or anything. Anyone know what this could be. Coolant is and has been topped off with no signs of any lost.

OK, let me first preface my post with, this is just something I thought I read in a post. It ain't gospel, so don't flame me. I thought some one had written that when you are running a test pipe that you have less burn off of exhaust. Consequently you sometime smell stronger emissions whle driving the car. Could your test pipe be contributing to the "problem" you are describing. Just a thought for future consideration.

isn't it just a bit of oil vapour being burnt.. coming from the crankcase back into the intake.. it happens all the time, but without the CAT you now see it in your mirror.. my car does the same.

White vapor is most likely oil but i wouldnt rule out coolant untill you see the headgasket. a little shouldnt be too bad though.

It's cold and damp in most places in the country. If this smoking happens within 5-10 minutes of starting your car after an hour or two of rest, it's just vapors/moisture burning off. Many people who first notice that don't realize it and think worst case scenario.

It will look like white smoke. If you are worried, there are a couple tests you can easily do-

a) If the exhaust smells very sweet and or seems to stick to your skin, it's quite possibly coolant burning due to a HG leak, etc.

b) Hold a paper towel a couple inches behind the exhaust outlet [please be smart about this and don't burn yourself] and rev the engine hard a few times. If oil splatters on the towel, mystery solved, you are burning oil. However, that is NOT the same as carbon build up which can occur if the car isn't completely warmed up and is jet black on the towel.

Ok, here is my story( this will make you feel better).....my first mod was a test pipe(new 2002 with 10,000 miles).
Any time I would drive around and then gun it, smoke would come out(normal).
Some times when I was at a light for a little, just like sitting in trafifc, smoke would pour out of the exhaust(normal).
