So my car is dead!!!!!!
Dude - I am so sorry. As our cars are almost exactly the same I feel a high degree of sympathy here.
After my Herson's problem I didn't want to even look at my car anymore (being the jaded lover I am!!).
But - after it was fixed any thoughts of abandonment quickly went away as I sped up 270. I guarantee that you will feel the same way.
If you need me to write a nasty letter I would be glad to. Let's hope and assume that there will be no issues regarding warranty.
Again, I am sorry. If there is anything I can do let me know.
BTW - make sure the guy they have looking at it is S2000 certified.

That's kinda good news, right?! Let us know how everything goes when you're feeling up to it.
Not to be a pain, BUT make sure you keep all correspondence, get everything in writing, and keep a journal of conversations between yourself and folks there. Make sure you get their names, etc.
A little bit of dilligence now can save you headaches later on.

Yes- please let us know what they diagnosed the problem as (if they did) when you feel better.
This would be the first case, I believe, of a #4 cylinder failure, if that's what it is.
Sounds like a tossed rod or bearing... though I'd be interested in knowing how it happened, it sounds like you were just driving the car normally. I assume there hasn't been a low-oil or other "bad" condition since you've had the car?
