Default Soft-Top Motors

Are the electric connectors for the soft-top motors the same in all MYs?

You mean the actual connector shape, size, etc? Not the location...

It should. I know that there are been a number of swaps done, and there was never a comment on the connectors. But we will not know for a fact until someone does it and posts. I think the risk is very low that there will be an issue installing an MY05 top on an MY00. I personally would do it.
