I dont think that this is going to work. When changing an early AP1 from plastic to glass there are additional straps needed to make the top fold correctly so that the glass doesnt break. With that in mind you have an AP2 frame which already folds correctly for a glass window top and if you try and put a plastic window top on it may or may not fold correctly. Either way in my opinion this is so not worth it, just spend the $500 and get a replacement top from Robbins or EZ On. Either one will work just fine.

+1 look for a seller on ebay by the name of topsonline and get a canvas glass top for 489.00 shipped. First of all, its a thicker material than the vinyl twill of oem material and its just roughly 30 bucks more. If you want the oem material then its 459.00 shipped from the same seller. Brand is ez on which is not different than a robbins top besides brand name. Good luck!

It comes with directions. Set aside about 8 to 9 hours for the day you want to install and you should be golden. PM the member name Clovis here as he had a hand in designing the aftermarket top conversion. He's done countless installs of these tops.

IIRC, if you buy a strap that allows the 2nd rib to get pulled back/held in place, and four elastic bands on the AP1 top, you should be ok installing the AP2 glass on the AP1 top - as far as I know, from HTG, thats what I have.

reading the op would have saved you all that typing. He has an ap2 that he's trying to put an ap1 top onto
