Default Softtop cover doesn't stay down, backend comes up when driving

We've got a small issue with our softtop cover, it never stays down for longer than 30 min. The 4 buttons at the front stay fixed otherwise we would have losed our cover several times already.

Somehow the backend of the cover always jumps out and the whole cover starts making a lot of noise, anyone had/have this problem as well? And what did you do to solve it?

I've read the TSB in de library but I am not sure this is the same issue.

The s2000 is from Jan 2001.

Put some weight on it. Push it down hard it will still come up occasionally but won't go anywhere. Ya it's a pain in the ass but what are you gonna do?

when you put the cover on and push the back down, also pull it towards the back of the car to get it to firmly put pressure towards the back. If you notice that it barely clears the top when folded, you'll probably need to adjust to stops on the top so that it goes down a little more (TSB).

I had to adjust mine a tiny bit and now the cover stays put....

The fitting of the softtop cover goes fien, but its these small pieces of plastic that are supposed to hold the cover in place that are the problem I think. Especially if air comes in underneath the cover..

Usually those that have this problem their softtop does not retract far enough. It might fit fine when you first put it on, but your softtop may me bouncing up a little when you drive and giving it a push. Also make sure the sides of the cover are tucked in too.

This problem is addressed in service bulletin 01-038 dated March 27th 2001. Your Lowered position stops are incorrectly set. This service bulletin is a warranty bulletin. If your car is out of warranty contact your regional service manager and request the work be done under "goodwill consideration". Either way it should be fixed at no cost to you.

Make sure your soft top is folding correctly.
