Default Softtop Warranty Question

Dealer said he would replace the top...velcro torn, but wants to charge me $1000 for install...does this seem right?

I have an 04, and the warranty is pretty much near void.

pretty much near void?

either it's under warranty or it's not.

3 years, 36k miles.
Honda has been known to "goodwill" repairs of the top well beyond the warranty period and certainly very near the end of the warranty period.

It's out of warranty...but it is defective.

It's a hard one. I think they offered the replacement because I try to keep my car as flawless as possible.

Just wondering if the $1000 install is an appropriate charge?

When mine was quoted, they offered to pay for the top if I paid labor. I think it was $600 for the labor, but they ended up paying the whole thing.

Stick to your guns. Don't hold back, ask to speak with the Manager....then the District Manager.

How many miles OOW?
