I made a post a week ago or so about how I was have problems getting into reverse. I've tried everything. I'm still having a lot of problems getting into reverse and it also seems like 5 wants to grind a little and it's hard to get it int 1st now. Any ideas or advice?

That's a good question. I just bought it. It's got 20000 miles on it. I've only put 500 miles on it. Should I do a trans change before anything?

If you are used to FWD with a wire linkage, the S tranny may feel a little tougher to change gears.

Have you been pressing down on the shift knob when you are trying to put it in Reverse?

Possibly, it really can't hurt to get the fluid changed and you will know exactly when it was changed. I think the recomended interval is 30K, anyone know for sure?

No, I haven't had a rearwheel manual before. YEs i have been pushing the shift knob down to go into reverse. It's not just reverse it's 1st to. I'll get a change this week. Should I just get it done with the regular fluid that honda uses for it, or is there something better?

I can't answer that question, but would like to hear other peoples views on Honda vrs Synthetic. Also what brands people are using.

honda's manual trans fluid is really good. i noticed a bit smoother shifts since i changed mine.

was this a certified used car? depending on the dealership, you might could get them to comp the fulid change for you.

It wasn't certified, though it should have been.

if you got if from a dealer, go back to them and hit them up for a fluid change.
