pics speak for themselves, are the springs supposed to be like this? or did i raise the height adjustment too high? what should i do? i don't want to slam my car again because i want to start autocrossing the car. anyone got any ideas?
those are helper spring, they can be compressed while the car is on the ground but if you lift the car up in the air, those sucker should not be compressed all the way stacking like this.
the reason for the helper spring is to have the spring seated all the time, esp when the corner is unloaded.
yeah, jack up the car and see if they will uncompress itself, if they are still stacking after you jack the car up, you have too much preload.
also, they looks pretty new to me, check with KW to see if there's special "break in" steps to do, preload, etc

Isnt the helper spring suppose to be on the top anyways
Nope. The purpose of the helper spring is to keep the main spring against the perch should the suspension go full droop. Therefore, it must be on the bottom to work.
I found that my helper springs (I have KW-V3's as well) were fully compressed after install but settled out a bit once the main springs relaxed some. I am not slammed either and have been actively AutoX'ing all season.
Good luck with your setup. I am sure you will be pleased with these coilovers.
i am already in love with them. i used to run on Koni Yellows with Espelir springs and the ride was harsh, but i liked the rigidity of it. However, i was slammed on that suspension setup. it looked nice, but it rubbed over every dip, every bump, and every hard turn. However, i can still be slammed (which i am, for right now, waiting for it to settle to raise a little tiny but) and i don't scrape or rub unless im taking a right turn kinda hard. for KW's
