Question Spark plug burned along with intensifier

Hi m8s,
the car has got the ngk spark plugs that Honda suggests, 50.000 miles on and i changed them when the car had 40.000 miles.

On Friday night i was strolling easy with 3.000 revs and suddenly the engine check starts to come on and of ( the yellow thing) and the engine was working like with 2-3 cylinders. I stopped immediately, switched off and on again and the same thing was happening again. Towed the car to the shop and the 3rd cylinder's intensifier couldn't come out, it was stuck. After some tries it came out in pieces burned and the spark plug was torn into pieces burned too. Fortunately the engine doesn't have serious damage and it will get repaired.

I noticed also on the two first intensifiers and plugs some oil on the porcelain part of the plug.

The coolant and oil were ok, the valves are black, so gas was flowing in and was burning, my temperatures where ok so

My question is : WTF could have caused such a malfunction ?????

No one can guess or make a reliable statement. Any opinions?

Plugs that were not torqued sufficiently back out and cause numerous problems. The original torque spec was too low.

What spec did you torque to? They "revised" the spec. It sure sounds like loose spark plugs to me.
