Spark Plug Loose
I have a 2000 S2000. I was on the highway and hit the gas to pass when a puff of smoke came out and the engine stopped running. I coasted off the highway and had the S2000 flatbedded to a Honda dealer. They found that the #2 spark plug come loose and turned into two pieces of metal. The coil was partially burned up. A new plug and coil were installed and the car runs okay. The compression test was 165, 155, 175, 170 on cylinders 1, 2, 3, and 4 respectively. The car smokes a bit when reved and sounds different to me. I'm afraid to run it on the track. Does anyone have any advice? Should the head be pulled? Is the bottom end at risk?
