Default Spark Plug Upgrade?

My friend with a TT just upgraded his spark plugs and I drove his car before and after, you actually felt more pull. He has many other turbo mods and is running 23psi so I know everything makes a difference at that point.

I was just wondering if anyone had done any spark plug upgrades and felt noticeable power differences. What brand was used? What gap was used?

Appreciate any info.

stick with OEM, there are no aftermarket sparkplug gains on our NA cars.

turbo cars are different due to heat ranges on spark plugs. forced induction cars usually respond to colder plugs, most people drop down 1 heat range depending on their turbo/supercharger application. also, a tight gap on high boost cars keeps the spark from being blown out under WOT.

For FI, heat range 8 with plug gap around .032" -.035". The 2668, 5068, and 7173(caution, non-resistor) are popular.
