why you drop/increase the gap of the plugs?

I believe the theory is to reduce the gap to ensure the spark is able to jump accross with the higher cylinder pressures under boost. At the same time you don't want the gap to close or they can foul/misfire.

I have not modified the gap of the plugs. I have intalled without checking the gap, someone else knows the original gap?
