Default sparkplugs

I got my first in person look at a s2k engine and couldn't see the plugs or wires I assume they are under the cover near the v.c ? Are they hard to get at? TIA

They are neatly concealed under the black plate on top of the valve cover. You will need an allen wrench to unfasten 6 bolts then lift up the black cover. Underneath the plate you will see individual coals on top of each spark plug. These have a bolt you must loosen first. Then you can access the plugs. I can take my plugs out, inspect them and re-torque them in about 10 minutes.

This process is well-documented in the owner's manual, robb. I agree with John that it's about a 10 minute job. Be careful not to get your socket wrench stuck down the hole

Duct tape the plug socket to the rachet extension - problem solved.

Be careful with the allen bolts if your motor is still hot. They will be harder to take out and will strip easily. Also, on my car I only have 4 allen bolts that holds the cover onto the head.

XV, I wish I had read this before I struggled to get that cover off! (Doh!!) Next time I'm going to do something on my car, I'll post here a few days in advance and save myself some bloody knuckles and frustration.
