I pulled my differential down because I had my 4.77 installed and they where whinnying a little. what are the specs that everything should be set to? I had the sheet from motorklasse but I lost it.

They should be set to the OEM specs as written in the OEM service manual.

 

i thoguht they are suppose to be set tighter ?

 

.003" is the factory spec. right in that range, 3 to 5 thou.

use google, and type in... "ring and pinion lash setup"

youll get some good stuff, from richmond gear and drivetrain.com

check them out, gives you an idea of whats entailed. good luck. dave
