Hey guys, ive got a question What is a speed limiter defencer? if its what i think it is and it removes the speed limiter on the s2k how fast would the car be capable of going? Is this not a reccomended thing to do to the car? is $106.50(for hks i think) worth it? if so what is a good brand to buy?

 

US S2000s do not have a speed limiter. You can go as fast as the car is capable of. Taking into account drag/aerodynamics and physics. The SLD is made for JDM S2000s which do have a speed limiter. Not sure but I think it's required by law over there.

 

180 kph is the limit over there.

177 theorertically speaking(gearing limited). when you look at the aerodynamic drag,etc, itsmore like 155.

Why would you need to go faster than 155 miles per hour?

JATO pack (Jet Assisted Take Off) would do the trick.

Actually, the best thing to do is take the engine out of your car and put it into a properly designed salt flat racer. A member here did something like 240mph with that.
