Tryinna keep it "low mileage", is it?

Its generally not good to operate the EPS without assist. You're probably not doing massive damage, however.

Hahah im so close... its more about the inspection. Here in pa if you're under 5000 miles then you don't need emissions. Turbo s2000s dont do good with those tests lol

I did it briefly after I forgot to plug it in after a clutch swap. Don't really see an issue in driving without it. But given that risking damage to your car is a possibility I think you need to get a little more creative at finding ways around emissions. KPro? I know there's people that can reprogram cluster mileage to whatever you choose, but that's a sketchy process.

Its also highly illegal unless you are authorized to do it which is why most shops stay away from it. Odometer tampering became a pretty big deal in the used car market and the law is not all that friendly about it, which is a good thing.

It is against both federal and state laws. If you never sold the car it would never be a issue. But sell a car with an odometer that has been tampered with and get caught and it is a different story. Unless of course you disclose that the odometer is wrong on the car up front.
