Default Speedometer WAY too fast

Today I noticed that my speedometer was way too fast. Kind of funny, I looked down and it said I was going like 103mph in 3rd? Seems the multiplier is off. No yellowjaket, stock rims, stock everything, never had this issue before. Reset oil life like 15 minutes before I noticed it but I didn't see it until I went around a tight corner and engaged VSA. Not sure which (if any of the two) caused it.

Obviously going to try to reset ECU when I get home today and hopefully that will fix it but I figured I'd post anyhow in case it doesn't resolve with an ECU reset or someone else has this problem in the future. I've heard people report it being slightly off or completely broken but I haven't seen anyone with one reading 3x the speed on a stock S.

If you're right I'm going to feel extremely stupid... Occam's razor

Edit: right on the money. Anyone know where I can return an engineering degree? Thanks

And September's monthly speedo thread comes to another satisfying end.

Yup, I'm laughing at the fact that if I had gone and reset the ECU it probably would have reset to mph and "fixed" the problem. I would have spent the next few months wondering what hqppeneh and when my speedometer was going to break again.
