The event was a great success. Did not get to meet any S2k owners, but still had fun nonetheless. Wanted to share my experience with my Carbotech Panther Plus pads. Bedded them in on the wednesday before the event. They were squealing HORRIBLY. Played with them a bit on the way up to VIR and then did nothing until the first session saturday morning. Once warmed, they were biting INCREDIBLY well - much better than the Porterfield R4S, which in my opinion is an over glorified street pad. After I taped up my brake ducts (yes, it was THAT cold out) and the pads could retain more heat, they bit even better. I found myself late braking on the back and front straights. I experienced NO fade whatsoever. I was running a fresh batch of ATE as well. I will leave these on for street use, too, as they don't take too much to heat up and they are not agressive on the rotors like Blues can be.
