Default Spin Damage, Ride Height Issue

Hiya.
To make a long story short, I spun out and hit a waist high divider going 40mph. The rear driver-side bumper took most of the brunt.
The part which bothers me was I busted a rear tire (So the wheel/tire took a hit too) and now the driver side of the car sits 0.75 inch lower in the front and 1.5 inch lower in the back (Roughly).
I had the car aligned to honda specs and it drives well, not super, just well (Straight and without any vibration or wheel pull). My question is, what could cause an uneven ride height on one side..?? I'm guessing I busted my shock(s). I jacked up my car and looked at the suspension, nothing looks bent at all.
The only noticeable issue I can spot by eye is that the Control Arm is sitting flush against the lower arm (once jacked) whereas the passenger side doesn't have the same issue (There is roughly .75 inch gap b/t Control and Lower Arm). Here is a link to Majestic Honda Rear Suspension for further reference. You can find a diagram listed there.

Majestic Honda - Suspension

Any idea..?? Any help or insight is greatly appreciated. I love my car and I hate to see it have such an ailment. Thank you thank you thank you.

I crashed a mini against an embankment and I bent the control arm which caused the car to sit lower.

Theres a chance you damaged the strut mounts. It's definitely some sort of suspension problem. Take a close look at everything.

I bought my 01 in sept of last year (07). It was a wreck, literally, busted wheel driver side, rear, all airbags popped, seatbelt tensioners bad, etc... got it for $8000 like that, had to invest mad money to make it right, though.

I had 5 car repair shops look at it, 3 frame machines. It was an absolute nightmare. Driver side rear quarter sat an inch lower to the ground, as if there was a fat man driving the car when looked at from the back.

So one frame shop guy looked and said: "you got your frame warped like a propeller". See, our car frame is not a box frame like most sedans, with A- and C-pillars as stressed members for rigidity, but rather a flat platform of 2 long longitudinal framepieces with several (3?) crossmembers, like the one under your feet, in the engine bay, etc.

So for $350 he pulled that frame on frame machine, did some damage to the underside sheetmetal (a 7" rip), and the car is ok now, no problem. Alignment took care of wheels.

I replaced rear shocks, control arms, tried pulling the shock upper mount down to bring that wheel down, no help. That frame straightening took care of it.

That might be what your ride will need.

No, I bought it that way for $8000. At a dealer's salvage auction, where insurance companies send their total loss vehicles for auctioning off to junkyards (for parts) or to repair shops.

The car is good now (well, one of the 18x9 wheels is getting straightened at willsrimrepair.com because of a pothole in the road).

I have the car on a frame machine as we speak to straighten out the floor around the driver side trunk. Hopefully this will solve the problem. My mechanic is also going to call his acura buddy to take a peek at my suspension as well. I'm going to check it out tomorrow morning (Friday). I'll report back. I'm really interested to check the Shock Mounts to ensure everything is alright. Thanks for the feedback, really helpful.

After an initial inspection, the suspension dude noticed that one of the shock arms is bent and not allowing a full travel. I am in the process of researching options... I really like the stock suspension (no tracking or autoX) for the street and I'm planning on replacing the stock shocks all around, unless there is a benefit to going to coilovers.
My buddy had a set of Tein Coilovers (sorry can't remember the model off the top of my head) put on his Evolution totaling $1000. (700 for the set, 300 installed). He is pleased with his setup and the price seems reasonable. I'm just iffy about placing products on the Honda because of the quality of the parts Honda has used, Top Notch. More to come later
