this is my solution. You still have to cut or remove the air guide.

I don't think Spoon makes an airguide with the proper hole in it. It's easy enough to just cut the one you've got. Here's a little "How To" I wrote when I installed it on another ower's car:

BTW, you can get a number of different aftermarket clones for much less money.
I read your DIY. So where do I get a snorkel?

You can contact a Spoon vendor if you want the "real thing" or you can contact "Muz". He's a board vendor in Australia. He sells the clone at much lower price. Many of the board vendors sell a clone as well. Check with AJ Racing for one. Checked ebay?

If you lived in Calgary, you coulda got in line for mine for free.

It's up to you, Harry. You can keep a running tally in this thread or you can start a new one in the GB forum and link this to it. The GB thread can still be a call for commitments, then turn into a confirmed deal.

I'd advise you to do some research on fitment and quality before deciding on a supplier. I developed the original Aus intake from a fairly average knock off of the Spoon. I put a lot of work into it to make it fit and provide as much flow through path as possible and Muz has refined it even further.
So where as I can vouch for the Muz product (and I have no financial interest in it anymore) I fear that other knock offs may disappoint.
