SPOON Calipers on the FRONT...Possible on the REAR?

I have custom made Kinesis K58's on front and rear (see pic below) along with SPOON Calipers / rotors installed on front. I have plenty of clearance between the wheel spokes and the caliper face (CLEARANCE IS NOT AN ISSUE) due to the convex parabolic angle of the K58 SPOKES.

I am considering (1) shaving the STOCK REAR CALIPER body to begin with only a "bracket" that will allow me to (2) weld a custom fabricated adapter to the SPOON S2000 Caliper / Adapter. I will need to (3) install the SPOON front rotor on the rear (appropriate size for the SPOON caliper) and (4) a proportioning valve (maybe front 70% / rear 30%) to adjust for brake bias.

Need EXPERT opinions please?

Is it possible?

Don't quote me on this but I think you will upset the braking balance of the car and it might get you into a potentially dangerous situation. By the way your car is HOT!

Thanks for the compliment Bro...regarding the braking balance or bias; utilizing the proportioning valve should address that issue...right?

It should but again it's like Randman and his RHD conversion. All the money invested for what? Most of your braking is done by the front brakes. In the end it would be a lot of work and money for very little return. ROI

HP Books - BRAKE SYSTEMS - by Mike Mavrigian and Larry Carley

You should be able to get a copy for like $15 at the nearest Barnes & Noble or Books a Million. It is a great resource for all things brakes.

Page 172 of the book states that, yes, proportioning valves do allow you to adjust braking force, assuming that the master cylinder size and caliper sizes are compatible with each other. Two basic styles are available, knob or lever type. Wilwood makes a knob-style and lever style valve.

Have you thought of how you are going to relocate the hand brake mechanism? This is the main reason there is no multi-piston rear caliper for the S. I suppose if your circumstances were special (meaning you can live with out a hand-brake) , it wouldn't matter. If you are thinking of getting this custom fabricated, it is going to be more complicated than just a proportioning valve and a bracket.

Why is it necessary to relocate the hand brake mechanism? What does that have to with a multi-piston caliper? I would mount the caliper in the same location that it is in currently.

Please explain if you can...
