SPOON Calipers on the FRONT...Possible on the REAR?
Not that I am a brake expert, but the rear caliper has a coupling for the hand brake. The spoon caliper does not have an adapter for this to be plug-n-play. I should clarify my statement regarding the multi-piston calipers. A multi-piston is more desirable that a single piston like the oem's (lighter, better clamping force, etc). It could be possible if you had two calipers in the rear that are independent. One for the hand brake and one for the foot brake. If you check out the Qvale Mangusta's rear brakes, it has two independent brembo calipers per wheel. This is one possible solution, but it will probably mean a more capable master cylinder on the S.
to continue with Asura's comments - you'll also note the rear rotors are not vented, they are solid pieces. So you'll have quite a bit of room to work with inside the caliper's clamping mechanism.
It WILL upset the balance of the ABS, there is no question about that. But I'm very doubtful that a four piston caliper would work at all in the back. The ABS system in this car would have to be permanently disabled or removed entirely IMO for this configuration to work.
