Default Spoon Clutch

Has anyone tried the Spoon Clutch application? Or the Exedy?
Frustration setting in. Have to install new clutch soon and not sure what way to go!! Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Need a stronger pp for use with SC but not one that launches or puts stress on tranny. Stock pedal feel, smooth operation, and longevity PS: sounds likes others are trying to find the same solution.

I have the hyper Exedy

Do not use it, or any 6 puck.

Go with an ACT 2600 pressure plate, stock disc, stock flywheel. I believe others have had good luck with this setup.

The exedy's pressure plate doesn't put out enough pressure to hold my 350 rwhp. The shifts are very smooth and direct, but there is a little slip. Not to mention it is like an off/on switch. Very bad in traffic.

I am using a Spoon clutch in my car now I had an ACT didn't like it as much as the spoon. The ACT'S pedal was so hard next to the spoon. I still launch my car with the spoon and no slip. I have a SC on my car too.

The stock clutch is more than sufficient for just an SC. Why do you want to replace it?

If you want stock pedal feel, you don't want an aftermarket pressure plate with more clamping force. If you are worried about putting more shock on the rear end, either learn how to pre-load the drivetrain or just forget about changing friction surfaces/increasing clamping force.

What you are asking for is completely contradictory. Guess why "nobody is finding what they are asking for?" You could mitigate the increased pedal effort by changing the method the clutch actuates, but that would made this project a lot more complex wouldn't it?

I toasted the clutch in my 2001 S2000, now I drive a 350Z track but when I had the S2000 while the dealership was going to do the replacement under TSB I had them put in a toda flywheel, 6 puck ACT disk, Heavy duty ACT pressure plate. I loved everything but the damn 6 puck disc it was the biggest pain in the a$$. Like someone else said it is like a on & off switch it is either engaged or not. Oh ya the pedal was twice as heavy over stock clutch too and the clutch was really noisy. Got to say the toda flywheel was the highest quality thing I've ever seen for the S2000.
