Default Spoon N/A

Lets say i bought every s2000 part that Spoon made except for the exterior and maybe suspension. And went N/A. How much hp do you think i can get to the wheels. I read somewhere you can get 450hp? I dont know i thats in the engine or on the wheels. Just wondering if it is possible i already know 2 parts that can raise the s2000's compression ratio equaling more hp such as the gasket and the spoon pistons. And would anybody know how much it would cost?

450? From a NA 2.0l? Ummm. No.

You won't gain much. Their cams are designed for greater midrange, not top end power. Also, their header is similar, it boost midrange torque not power. Everything else they offer will have a negligible effect, though their pistons are interesting.

I'd wait for a little while. There are some really cool projects being undertaken by people on this board that may lead to some very good results.

If one manages to extract 300hp (at the crank) from a stock bottom end F20C, that will be "a super engine".

Stay tuned.

Spoon sells the whole engine assembly with all goodies installed. I was quoted around $11K and a horsepower figure of 280 max. They mentioned that the engine is tuned for better torque and durability.

Hmmm i see. SO that 280HP max is from the engine right not to the wheels?

I have heard otherwise, around 350 to the ground, which puts the engine power at a little higher. (420 at the engine) This is a 2 lister engine with a redline of 11,000 running at 12.5:1 compression. The parts include new ECU, exhaust, headers, cams, pistons, valves, valve springs, injectors among other things..

Unfortunatly, this is only what I've been told, I don't know of any solid info to back this up..

Yikes if that can be done that would be a very nice car and with the 11,000 redline
