Hello all! I'm not sure if this whould belong here, but I was wondering if anyone here knew if a spoon thermostat would work on an 06 S2000? Thanks.

It will fit in the housing, but it's unknown if it will cause a DTC with the 06's new PCM.

I seem to recall reading the "cooling mods" cannot be done on the 06 due to the PCM change.

I think the fan switch and the rad cap will be ok to install cuz I have tried that already.

I was under the impression the fans were controlled by the ECU?

The PCM switches the fans based on the coolant temp switch. The PCM also monitors how long the car takes to reach operating temp, and can set DTC's if the thermostat sticks open. Lower temps fans switch and Thermos stat may be enough of a change to set the DTC's.

The fan switch does not fit but the thermo does. I've had the thermo on for 5 months and no DTC's to date.
