Some of the members the Xbrace attach to are themselves movable by loosening the bolts they are attached with. Loosen them, put all bolts in and then tighten.

Are you sure you have it turned the right way? I would think that these are all identical and mine and others fit perfectly. It is made to pickup the existing bolts so it is not an even X.. get under there and look again.

i have it in the right way, it's just that one bolt hole is off by just enough so that hitting it with a mallet will bring it just close enough so that i think it will fit, and then doesn't. >:/

Is seems it just "don't fit"! Either x-brace defect or chassis (forbid) dimension deviations. Maybe measure dimensions between bolt holes of the chassis (both cross and box) and compare with others who have not had x-brace problems. If same, then another x-brace you need!

Josh, I hade the same problem.

Loosen all the bolts on the stock tie bar and move it around some. The holes in my stock tie bar were slightly off and once I loosened it up, it all went in nicely.

I can dig up some pics if you don't know what I am talking abooot.

I assume you had not tightened down any of the bolts until you had them all started?

krazik, i'll give that a try next time i get a chance.

pfb - no, i didn't torque them until i was done. but the last one wouldn't line up, i.e. couldn't get started at all.

i think i'm going to follow prolene's advice and measure, anyone w/ an x-brace to compare measurments?
