autoEX,
Day and time this weekend and next. I'd like to watch before I consider diving in.

Zippy, the time of the autocross runs begin at 10, but checkin and registration begins at 8:30-9:30am and finishes at about 3:30pm. Last time I was there, Gregg and S2.01K had there red s2ks, but mine was in the shop for the #4 cylinder. Here is the website for it, http://www.autox4u.com/phillysnow.htm. Hope you can make it.

Looks like we responded at the same time I will check you out there. If you are planning on going a little early maybe we could grab breakfast.

It's CSP not ASP. CSP is for unclassifed sport cars with engines < 2L. Our's is 1.94L. I made this same mistake.

Yes, I believe it moves you to A Stock Prepared...

I just put my xbrace on last night and it seems to make a difference. I will get out hopefully this weekend for more cavorting with Scarlet...more to follow.

And thanks Jason, Juliann, Brad and Brad for the help. But the drinks at Hala Kahini are taking their toll on me. You know the kind, they come in fishbowls with 3 feet long straws...oh man.

Hmmmmm...I can't find a pic of the X brace but if it is truely an "X" brace (i.e. looks like the letter X) then it would not be allowed in Street Prepared. You'ld be in the Modified catagory. Only upper and lower transversely mounted strut tower braces are alowed. But no one at a local level would likely object...or even notice.

Charlie, my Spoon X-Brace is sitting in the garage waiting for my next trip to my dealer. I'm going to ask Wade, one of the S2K mechanics, to install that and the Neuspeed STB.

What is the correct torque on the bolts for the Spoon X-Brace (and for the STB for that matter)?

Does it matter?

Barry

Consider going with 36 lbf-ft for the STB and 28 lbf-ft for the X-brace in keeping with the service manual specs.
