hhe ever heard the cliche good enough is never good enough. you got a thirst for hp that only something like a carrera gt could satisfy.

i don't know the answer to your question cuz i don't run nitrous, but good luck to ya.

without some kind of engine management system, I think it is a bad idea.

Get an AEM EMS, have it tuned by someone knowledgeable, and hope it lasts longer than the bottle.

Just limit shut off nitrous when boost starts to build. It'll be much safer. You wont be exceeding your max HP, but you'll get the added kick that the SC cant provide.

Here's a dyno of SC + nitrous that shuts off at about 3 psi.

Just make sure you have all safety measures in place and a reliable nitrous kit like NX.

IMHO
Since you only pass through that area of the power band once for a very brief time it makes no sense to run nitrous the way you are. If you want a performance increase, set it up to be on between 6000 and 9000 rpm. Kick it on when you hit 4th gear and get ready to shift. Your trap times would increase dramatically.

^ But what if you're going 0-60 and NOT dropping the clutch (i.e. me)? Wouldn't it help then?

Since you have to wind it up in first I would expect it to just rip the tires and make the ride out of control. When our tires are spinning that much in first, forget being quick and worry about going where you want. Add to that you don't have the bottle after 6000 rpm or in second gear so effectively when the speedo says about 25 or 30 it shuts off. Sounds like a differential killer to me.
