Can you reset the SRS light without the PGM tester or the special tool they mentione in the book?

Yes, there is a thread at the top of one of the forums. However I would not just reset the SRS light without checking the SRS DTC first. The procedure is the same as mentioned in the ultimate check engine light thread. https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=378792 .

EDIT: SRS thread http://forums.s2ki.com/forums/showthread.p...hreadid=135685/ .

cool thanks

My question really should've been if the DO NOT user Jumper warning is Bullshit which it appears to be which is exactly what i was going to do but I was like, you know what, maybe there is some science behind this

As far as what DTC it is, I'm 99.9 of what it is. I took the air bag out for some work, put it back in but forgot to connect.

I would still check your SRS DTC, it takes like an extra 30 seconds to a minute. After all it is a safety system, if only for peace of mind. Good Luck.

I just stick 2 paper clips in the SRS plug, touch them together, start the car, when the srs light goes out pull them apart, then tough them together again when the light comes back one, when the SRS light flashs twice it's erased.

I installed a 4 point roll bar 3 years ago and have a SRS light since then, I I finally got somone at a dealer check it the code, it was a fault in the passenger seat belt unit.

Today I tore the interioir apart to pull the unit out, turns out there was a plug in piece at the top of the unit that was unplugged. I reset the SRS light and now it's fixed.
