Default SRS reel for air bag deployment

Hey guys, i read the DIY for the aftermarket steering wheel install , but i was wondering whether the SRS reel is needed for passenger airbag deployment

The cable reel is for the drivers side airbag, not the passenger side.

It's not documented in any info from Honda if the passengers air bag will deploy normally with the drivers side bag removed.

Some of the aftermarket steering wheel hubs come with a resistor to simulate the airbag, these should allow for normal airbag deployment, because the SRS control unit doesn't know the drivers bag has been removed.
