I highly doubt that there would be any significant damages to your car for stalling out every once in a while.

I am teaching my brother how to drive a manual and am not so woried about stall, its much more damaging if someone is shifting wrong than to stall.

I had a bad spinout in the rain a couple months ago. Stalled in 3rd when the car started going backwards. My engine had trouble starting afterwards, but fixed itself.
