Stalling EVERY time at stops
My problem goes way back. First it was a CEL for random misfire in all four cylinders. Ran a few bottles of injector cleaners and the CEL would go away. Couple of weeks later CEL would come back. This went on for over 4 months. Thought it was due for valve adjustment so i had that done. I also switched out the fuel injectors (just yesterday) from a 2003 with ~25k miles on it. After the switch car ran fine with intermittent hesitation. I thought resetting the ecu would make it learn to adjust to the new injectors. After disc battery and left out for 10 mins, i reconnected and went for a ride. Over the course of 10 miles i stalled 5 times. Each time was right after i let the gas off and put gear into neutral to coast slowly to a complete stop. Car stalls about 10x on my way back.
NOTE: Whenever gas is not given to the engine, car would stumble and stall.
Please help

What was the CEL code? That would probably tell you pretty quick if there is a sensor probelm. It could be any number of sensors: MAP, throttle position, O2, etc. It could even be a clogged fuel filter or bad gas.
BUT...
Friend had an identical sounding problem, and it ended up that his throttle body needed cleaning. There is a small passage that allows manifold air to the MAP. His was partially clogged. Car ran great after we pulled the tb and thoroughly cleaned it. (BTW, be careful when cleaning a tb...use a mild solvent...I prefer denatured alcohol over spray can carb cleaner, just use rubber gloves)

I had a similar stalling problem (different make/model car but the same problem).
I agree that the throttle body could be the problem. Just be careful about using too much carb cleaner though. The car took a while to finally start up after the spray went in, and some pretty serious smoke came out the back.
After that, no more stalling though.
Good luck.

Check the below (not sure how much this applies to our S2Ks but my S13 240sx had this problem alot ):
1.) Oil Pressure (Low Oil)
2.) Water Temperature (overheating?)
2.) Vacume Lines
3.) IIAC
4.) Plugs

I know some have left the tb on the car and sprayed carb cleaner or other tb cleaning products into the throat. It is really better to remove it to clean throughly. Remove the MAP; unplug the TPS; undo the throttle cable; undo the coolant lines (you may get a little coolant but it will stop); Remove the four bolts (actually, 2 bolts and 2 nuts...kinda a weird set up); it may need a small amout of coaxing to get off (lightly tap, preferably with wood and NOT on the TPS). Clean thoroughly (my preference is denatured alcohol) with lint free cloth if possible. Carefully remove gasket (may need to use an exacto, but be careful not to score the facing)...there may be bits of gasket stuck to either face...use a plastic knife or spoon to scrape it off. Get a replacement tb gasket from Honda or make one from gasket material (hopefully the original is not too damaged to use as a pattern). Re-assemble; follow Helms for throttle cable adjustment and go. On the shade-tree mechanic difficulty scale of 1 to 10 (with 1 being any idiot can do it to 10 being you must be an idiot to try), I'd give this a 2.5.
Lemme restate the problem.
There is no CEL right now. My car was idling funny. I changed fuel injectors. Ran fine afterwards with a bit of hesitation. I reset the ecu to fix the hesitation problem. However, resetting the ecu caused the constant stalling at stops. When i first start the car, its fine; but it would stall whenever i dont give it gas and it drops below 1000rpm.
I will try cleaning the TB. But the thing is car ran fine before i reset the ecu.

Update: After work this morning (630AM) I warmed it up to 2 bars (AP1). Drove off the lot and it stalled once. It stalled once again when i went into neutral to prepare for another turn. After the 2 stalls idle was getting better. 27 miles later, no stalls. I guess it was the ecu learning the changes after all. Thanks to all who tried to help. I still, however, will clean the TB to get better performance.
